Painting & flooring in Salem, NH
From 1950s ranches near the Methuen line to the new condos at Tuscan Village, Salem keeps us busy with painting as much as flooring.
Salem is where our painting work and our flooring work overlap the most. The town has a deep stock of 1950s to 1970s ranches, capes, and splits along Route 28 and around Arlington Pond that are due for both a repaint and a floor refinish, and it also has new construction and condos around Tuscan Village and the old Rockingham Park site where owners want a floor upgrade before they move in.
The two-story foyer in the photos below is a typical Salem painting job: ceilings, walls, and trim in a tall space, with drop cloths over the stairs and the floors protected. On the flooring side it's a mix of refinishing original oak, luxury vinyl plank in basements and condos, and epoxy on garage floors. Salem is about 20 minutes from our shop in Hudson.

What we do in Salem
Homes here, and what they need.
Salem's older neighborhoods along Route 28, around Arlington Pond and Captain's Pond, and toward the Methuen line are 1950s to 1970s ranches, capes, and splits with solid red oak. Newer townhouses and condos cluster around Tuscan Village and I-93 exits 1 and 2. The older homes often need lead-safe painting practices; the newer ones are more about LVP, new hardwood, and epoxy.

Reviews
What customers say.
“Five stars is not enough. LCH exceeded our expectations. We had a new Vinyl Plank flooring installed in our master bedroom, along with painting the room. Our bedroom looks awesome, thanks to Calvin and his crew for going above and beyond any questions or issues that we had. Highly recommend LCH, won't hesitate to hire them again.”
“I would definitely give LCH an A plus for their painting skills. They painted 5 rooms in my home and they all came out perfect. They also installed new flooring in my basement and did a great job, I love it.”
“I hired them to paint and replace my floor on a 4 season porch. It was done so fast, 3 days, I thought it would have taken all week. Everything was neat and clean and the workers were polite and respectful.”
Questions
Salem questions.
Does LCH do interior painting in Salem, NH?
Yes. Interior painting is one of our four services, and Salem is one of the towns where we paint most: walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and tall spaces like two-story foyers and stairwells. We're an EPA RRP lead-safe certified firm for homes built before 1978.
Can you paint a two-story foyer or stairwell?
Yes. We bring the ladders and staging for tall walls and ceilings, protect the stairs and floors, and cut clean lines where the walls meet the ceiling and trim.
Do you do flooring in Salem condos and townhouses?
Yes. New condos around Tuscan Village and elsewhere in Salem are a common request, usually luxury vinyl plank or new hardwood installed before move-in. Water-based finishes and LVP keep odor and disruption low in attached units.
How far is Salem from LCH?
About 20 minutes. Our shop is in Hudson, NH, and we reach Salem by Route 111 and I-93.
