Hardwood installation & refinishing in Derry, NH
Derry has the most varied housing of any town we serve, from Beaver Lake cottages to 1980s townhouses, and a lot of it is ready for new or refinished wood.
Derry is the biggest town in Rockingham County and it has a little of everything: older homes around Broadway and East Derry, 1950s to 1970s capes and ranches, a huge stock of 1980s condos and townhouses, and newer subdivisions. That mix is why our Derry work splits so evenly between refinishing existing hardwood and installing new floors.
The installation photo below is a Derry job: new oak going down with a flooring nailer, the racked-out boards laid ahead so the pattern stays random and the end joints stay staggered. On the refinishing side, Derry's mid-century capes and ranches usually have solid red oak under carpet. We also coat garage floors with epoxy and paint interiors. Derry is about 25 minutes from our shop in Hudson.

What we do in Derry
Homes here, and what they need.
Derry ranges from pre-1900 homes around Broadway and East Derry to 1950s to 1970s capes and ranches, a large share of 1980s condos and townhouses, and newer colonials off Route 28 and 102. Red oak is the common thread. Condos and townhouses often have carpet or worn laminate that owners replace with LVP or hardwood; the older homes have original wood worth refinishing.

Questions
Derry questions.
Does LCH install hardwood floors in Derry, NH?
Yes. Derry is about 25 minutes from our shop in Hudson. We install solid and engineered hardwood and luxury vinyl plank, refinish existing hardwood, coat garage floors with epoxy, and paint interiors.
Can you put hardwood in a Derry condo or townhouse?
Yes. We install hardwood and LVP in condos and townhouses regularly. Where there's a concrete slab or an association sound requirement, engineered hardwood or LVP over the right underlayment is usually the answer, and we'll go over the options at the estimate.
Do you supply the flooring or do I buy it?
Either. We can supply hardwood, LVP, and installation materials through our suppliers and handle delivery, or install flooring you've already chosen. Most Derry customers have us supply it so there's one point of contact.
How long does a hardwood installation take?
A room or two can often be done in a day; a full floor takes longer, especially if we're removing carpet or old flooring and prepping the subfloor first. Your written proposal will include a schedule.
