Hardwood floors & painting in Pelham, NH
Pelham sits right between our shop and the Massachusetts line, and its colonials on big lots are some of our most regular refinishing work.
Pelham borders Hudson, so it's about as close to home as it gets for us. It's a quiet, spread-out town along Route 38 and 111A with colonials and capes from the 1970s through the 2000s on large lots, plus newer subdivisions and a few horse properties toward the Dracut and Tyngsborough lines. Oak main floors are nearly universal.
Most Pelham jobs are refinishing: taking a 20- or 30-year-old oak floor down to bare wood, repairing anything that needs it, and finishing it natural or with a new stain. We also install hardwood and luxury vinyl plank, coat garage floors with epoxy, and paint interiors. The photo below is one of our crew running the big sander on a Pelham refinish.

What we do in Pelham
Homes here, and what they need.
Pelham is mostly 1970s to 2000s colonials, capes, and splits on acre lots, with newer colonials in subdivisions off Mammoth Road and Sherburne Road and some older farmhouses near Pelham Center. Solid red oak is standard, often with carpet upstairs over plywood that's ready for new hardwood. Attached garages and finished basements make epoxy and LVP regular add-ons.
- Hardwood refinishing
Full main-floor refinishes on 1980s to 2000s oak, natural or stained.
- Flooring installation
Hardwood in carpeted bedrooms and LVP in finished basements.
- Epoxy floors
Epoxy garage floors.
- Interior painting
Repainting while the floors are being done.
Reviews
What customers say.
“Let me start by saying that a portion of the floor was supposed to be replaced … After the first hour they called me in the room and to show me that I didn't need the section replaced after all. That saved me some money and they did not have to do that. … They cleaned up after themselves and did an amazing job.”
“From start to finish, the team was professional, courteous and punctual. They completed the project on time, kept everything clean and paid close attention to detail. Our floors look beautiful and the painting completely refreshed the space.”
“They arrived on time with everything they needed and got right to work. They did an amazing job, stripping our floor, staining it and refinishing it. The mess was minimal.”
Questions
Pelham questions.
Does LCH serve Pelham, NH?
Yes. Pelham borders Hudson, where our shop is, so it's about 15 minutes away. We refinish and install hardwood, install luxury vinyl plank, coat garage floors with epoxy, and paint interiors in Pelham.
How much dust does refinishing make?
Far less than people expect. Our sanders run with dust containment and we vacuum between every pass, so most Pelham customers tell us the cleanup afterward was a quick dusting. We also clean up at the end of every day, not just the end of the job.
Can I stay in the house while you refinish the floors?
Often, yes, especially if we're doing one floor of the house and you have another to live on. Water-based finishes dry faster and have less odor than oil-based, which makes staying put easier. We'll talk through what works for your project at the estimate.
Do you work in Dracut, Tyngsborough, or Lowell too?
Yes. From Pelham it's a short drive into Middlesex County, MA, and we work in Tyngsborough, Lowell, Chelmsford, Billerica, and Tewksbury. Dracut isn't on our list, but call and ask.
